Super Summer Series Workshop: Lasting Impression       August 8, 2013, 9am-12pm    Allentown, Lehigh County

As a post-impressionist artist, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec excelled at capturing dancers and all types of people and crowds. His ability to paint with long brushstrokes of color made his subject’s come alive. Studying these paintings through sketching in the gallery gives you a chance to experiment with line and form. Experiencing the artist’s style takes you to the next step of painting your impression on canvas. Go on a special tour of the Museum and see what goes on behind the scenes. Voila!

Young at Art: Preschool Program   July 24-Aug. 21, 2013 Wednesdays, 10-11:30am          Allentown, Lehigh County

Experience the world-class wonders of the Allentown Art Museum with your three- to five-year-old child! Each session encourages thoughtful interaction with original works of art and is designed to promote visual literacy, language development, and socialization skills as well as art-making activities that are based on early childhood learning standards. The final session includes a Celebration Reception for our young artists and guests.
